How does Double Majoring in NEU work?

In the website, they said that there is no course overloading since its a 5 year program. But its not like you get 10 semester to double major considering 3 semesters are spent doing Co-Ops. Isn't this actually LESS time than the regular colleges that do 4 year programs?

They typically include a couple of summer sessions in the 5 year plan so you end up with sufficient time. There are joint major programs where you take fewer classes for each of the subjects which make them more manageable. There may not be course overloading but some majors - due to labs, studios, etc. - can require 18-20 credits in a semester. Check out this page to help you understand how the various programs work:

What is considered course overload anyway? Also, is a physics\compe double managable to get a high gpa in?

You’re limited to signing up for 19 credit hours per semester (without permission allowing otherwise). Generally, that means 4 classes at 4 credits each, and then things like labs and some seminar courses. Overload is technically anything over 19, though in some cases (taking four courses with labs), you can take 20 credits and not have it really be overload.
