<p>Hi, I am strongly considering dropping my AP English Language class because 1) I can't handle the workload with my other classes and extracurricular activities and 2) The 4 hours of homework I do every night for this class constantly results in failure because of extreme bias by the teacher. I have spoken to the teacher to try to figure out what I am doing wrong and she literally told me there was nothing I could do to improve my results. I am planning on going in to engineering and the grades in my math and science classes are suffering because so much of my time is consumed by a failing effort in this class. How would dropping this class affect admissions at some of the more selective colleges (Stanford, MIT, NU, Duke, Cornell, etc.)?</p>
