How does Emory calculate class rank?

At my high school, my class rank isn't as high as it should be because of people with older siblings who told them to take weighted electives and whatnot during the first few years to boost their ranks. I'll be going to Emory this fall, and hopefully I'd like to not have this happen again. So, does anyone know exactly how Emory calculates class rank? Are there any weighted classes? If your GPA is tied with someone else's but you have taken more classes, who has the higher rank?

I don't think that many people care about class rank. I've never heard anybody mention it and generally graduate apps worry only about GPA.

I really doubt there are weighted courses though.

i think your gpa matter more than your rank in college...

So employers don't even care about class rank?

I'm not sure employers even care about GPA.

I wouldn't even know where to find my class rank. I don't even know if Emory ranks, except to award Dean's List students.

dgebll what year are you in at Emory?

Junior
............

Oh ok. I just thought that maybe they don't calculate it until sophomore year. So if you were a freshman, that would explain why you didn't know your rank. Never mind.
