I got reject from Stony Brook lol. After I got reject I was like oh *****! I'm applying to more safeties. Then I applied to St. Johns, Drexel, and a whole bunch of others that are easy to get into. Now I got accepted to some of my matches and let me tell you, a whole load had been lifted off me. Now I'm just waiting for my reaches to accept me, hopefully. Anyone else had this experience? Getting rejected from your safety?

I'm so glad that didn't happen to me, I would have died. Glad to hear it was just some sort of fluke.

One of my friends who is probably (hopefully!) going to Dartmouth got literally no financial aid from a local (crappy) state college, which is basically a rejection haha. It must be that if the colleges know they're just a safety for you, sometimes they don't want to waste a spot on you at all.

I would of died. That would of been way too much, especially when I got rejected from my top choice.

If you're rejected by your safety, you either underestimated the competitiveness of the school, or you didn't show enough interest in the school (and thus showed to the adcoms that you considered the school your safety).
