I started freshman year in my university with around 25 transfer credits from taking courses in high school (AP courses, college level courses, etc). However, the grades did not go through. From what I can see on my transcript, it only shows that the credits were received and the courses were passed. It doesn't show any of the grades (which sucks, because I did really well in those classes).

Is this going to make adcom's suspicious? Does it look bad that my grades aren't written on there?

If you rec’d a university credit, AMCAS will need a transcript showing them. APs only count for university credit if your university gave you said credit. If you were given a “P” or “CR” (i.e., passed or credit) “grade” then you simply don’t have a grad. No biggie but if any of those are prereqs you should retake them in college.

AP credits are mostly useless. The grades for college level courses taken elsewhere (hopefully they are from a 4-year college, not from CC) will likely be useful. When you apply to medical schools, you will request all colleges from which you take courses to submit the grades.

You’ll have to send transcripts from every college you took classes at. Therefore, if any of your “college level courses” were offered through a college or a community college (rather than your high school), you’ll have to get a transcript sent from that school.

Interestingly, I thought that I remembered having my high school transcript sent to AMCAS as well (not to have AP grades counted, but just because they asked for it), but I just looked it up, and AMCAS now says not to send high school transcripts. Has that policy changed in the last two years, or am I remembering incorrectly and I actually requested my high school transcript for a summer program or something?
