Solid! I would suggest taking the act one more time and really focus the prep on the math. It will superscore you up a few notches perhaps.

If you are asking about Georgetown for you. You are competitive but still only 15 out of 100 chance for everyone. It should be considered a full reach.

Thanks @privatebanker. Could anyone suggest some good safety and match options based on my stats.

Next year I will be taking: AP Literature and Composition, AP Spanish Language, AP Macroeconomics, AP US Government and Politics, AP Physics, Gifted (sort of honors) Theology (school requires theology), philosophy, and yoga

Also SAT Subject tests for Literature, Math I, and Korean with listening

Are you Asian First gen college. What are your financial considerations. That will help a lot. Any weather setting size or vibe preferences ?

Asian second generation. Price best under $50,000/year (hoping for scholarships). Smaller school size, good student to faculty ratio, and northeast or mid East coast.

What would you like to study

Economics and Political Science. Maybe International Realtions stuff.

William and Mary, Tufts, Holy Cross, and Dickinson College are excellent schools and especially strong in your areas of interest. Academics are as strong as anywhere. They are all very competitive, to different degrees, but not as competitive as Georgetown. You might also explore the New England LACs in the NESCAC conference. All are outstanding, and most would also be strong in these areas.

Good luck!

How does it look for what? What exactly are you looking for here?
Are you looking for ideas of colleges to apply to? Or people to chance you at Gtown and Brown?

@happy1 I’m looking for people to evaluate how I might fare in the applications process and at which schools I might find the most success (in terms of applying).

Some names to consider that would match well with your interests location and selectivity.

High Matches
George Washington. American university. William and Mary. U Richmond.

Reach Unc uva Michigan vassar Hamilton NYU

Brown and Georgetown would be high reaches.

For undergraduate-focused colleges strong in economics, as well as in other social sciences related to public policy, any of the top ~20 schools from this analysis could be worth serious research: https://ideas.repec.org/top/top.uslacecon.html. You’ll note that the NESCACs are highly represented, but you’ll find a few others of potential interest as well. Colleges from this group with established terms in D.C. might merit additional consideration.

@merc81 Great, I was looking into Hamilton and they have an open curriculum similar to Brown’s so I’ll definitely be applying there.
