I found on their website that in holistic admissions they give each letter grade (A,B,C,etc.) a certain GPA point and that’s how they calculate GPA’s for admission. However so many high schools, including mine, use a numberic system instead of alphabetical so how does LSU decide what number grade is equal to a letter? I feel like they must have a general grading system they go by to give each student the same chances. For example, my high school “converts” number grades (even though the letter isn’t posted on transcripts) very competitively as only a 96 and higher is an A, and we don’t use plus and minuses. Other schools count 90 and higher as A’s so you can see how this could be unfair during the admissions process. Does anyone know what grading system LSU uses? I know this is very specific and probably hard to find, but I’m so curious.
