how does my college list look so far?

Columbia (top choice, applying ED)
Upenn
MIT
UC Berkeley
UCLA
UCSD
UCD

GPA:
Either a 4.16 or a 4.19 cumulative
4.33 10-11
4.46 UC gpa
as you can see, I had a bad frosh year (1st sem...didn't transition well/I was sick for 3 weeks straight..high fever, flu, strep throat)

SAT
2080 first time
(680m, 740v, 660 writing (subscore, MC: 60, essay: 12)
Math/writing kinda bombed on the march test, I was getting 780 writings on my diags, and 720 math...so I'm retaking in june
(hoping for a 2200-2250 in june)

SAT IIs, taking this saturday, Chem, U.S. (expecting 780+ on both)

APs:
euro -5
language
calc ab
u.s. history
chemistry

senior year schedule: ap literature, ap micro/macro econ, ap calc bc/II, honors physics (no AP offered), honors anatomy and physiology, yearbook (editor in chief)

ecs: I'm very confident in my ECs. I've done an internship last summer and this summer which involves being a teacher middle school in a low income neighborhood [I have leadership in this], mentored 5th graders going into middle school, tutored chemistry since the beginning of junior year, yearbook staff member/section editor for 2 years/editor in chief next year, and I'm in the process of starting a tutoring company

Thanks in advance for your help!

adding one more safety wont hurt u

Are you applying to Columbia College or Columbia SEAS under ED?

I'm guessing SEAS since she/he is also applying to MIT.

I'm actually applying to the College, I'm only slightly interested in MIT, so it might not even make my final college list.

hm, bumpitio.

ED will help but your SAT scores so far would make one think many of these schools may be stretches so I'd ad a few more match/and sure bet schools.

Where ARE your matches on that list? With the exception of UCD, All of the schools on your list have admit rates hovering around 30%. I'd call schools in that range reaches, even for someone with perfect stats. Doesn't mean you won't get into them all, but I'd suggest you add at least one more safety school besides Davis and a few solid matches too. For the matches, try to add a few schools where the acceptance rate is at or above 40% and where your stats are in the mid range to high end.

Hey! Congrats on making the choice to apply ED to Columbia! I was admitted this past year under the ED program. Hit me up on AIM at Teedoff101 and I'd be happy to talk to ya about anything Columbia related.
