kinda short, and don't include that WHo's Who

you can include it but list it at the very bottom. Taht's what I did.

My counseler told me it should fit on one page; it barely does. Also, this is basically to take the place of my info under the EC page of the commonapp, because I wanted a LITTLE more space to expand on certain things. He said it should focus on the things which I think are most important to me, so I did that. I mean, sure I've done some more stuff, but I think I've got a good varied field of junk here. It ranges from research to community service to writing to drumming to work experience to athletics to academic honors, etc. etc.

And, yeah, my physics teacher tricked me last year into thinking that it was some big honor (who's who). I didn't even realize it was not a big deal until I came onto CC. I was kind of clinging onto it, because I thought it wouldn't hurt if I kept it.

You should still fill out the EC part of the common app...just include this with it...also...you dont have to fit it on one page...if you want to go into detail thats fine...for example, i want to know more about your karate, community service, and work experience...the novel is also very interesting...

My friend didn't fill out the EC part of the common app and got into Davidson ED, so I am sure that you don't have to. Thanks for the suggestions!

Look up proper resume style. Your prose is neither engaging nor quite up to the sort of professionalism that colleges get all hot and bothered about.

As your EC list is short, look for things you can do to add to it. You don't have to BS it, however. Even minor activities you barely remember from years ago can flesh out a resume.

With the writing activities, try to sound alive. You don't sound like a very good author with such bland sentences. You might want to find a more politic way of expressing the fact that none of your stories have been published (or if they have, boast about it). Surely you've published in your school literary journal; if this is the cast, mention it. This is more my personal opinion, but giving an estimated time of finishing a novel sounds kind of crass. A novel is Art, by gosh, and Art is above a fixed ETA.
I also have issues with the paragraph on math. An adcom who doesn't know math will have his eyes glaze over. One who does will be frustrated at the offhand mention of it. Maybe you could submit a copy (or at least an abstract) of your research paper seperately.

hey pyro...what kind of "engaging prose" and professionalism should he add...colleges dont want paragraphs of information about each activity...

pyro does have a point about the math ...the research wont help your application unless you send in an abstract and/or list some awards you've won in competitions (you have won something, havent you?)
