I just wanted to get opinions on the schools I plan to apply to before I begin filling out my apps.
I'd consider myself a pretty strong applicant, looking for school strong in engineering and preferably known for providing undergrads with co-ops, sumemr jobs, research positions, something like that for me to get experience. Also, though my heart isn't set on it, I'm thinking of doing a pre-med track.
I'm looking for a school with a nice mix of social events and strong academics, and also with a pretty campus (i know GaTech doesn't really have this, please warn me of any others on my list)
Anyway, enough details, let me know what you think of my list (the match/reach/safety are my own guesses, I think I've made a nice balance)

Hopkins - reach
stanford - reach
Duke - slight reach
WUSTL - match
Rice - match
Vanderbilt - match
GaTech - safety
U Mich - Ann Arbor - safety

U Mich isn't a safety for anyone, even if you are in state(which you could be, you don't say). But without other stats, it's impossible to say whether your list is good considering where you could in. Without your stats, I'd also advise you to have another safety, as U Mich isn't one.

To be honest i wasn't all that interested in the match/reach/safety part of the post, but more concerned with if the schools each have all (or most) of the aspects I listed in the original post. But just as a brief resume:
ACt:34
GPA (w) 97%, (uw) 92
rank: about top 10%
APs: Bio, Calc BC, Chem, Psych, Physics B and C, Stat, English lang, Comp Sci AB
Pretty strong ECs (youll just have to take my word, as I said, im not as interested in hearing my chances as the schools in general)

Bgibbs; to be honest, I had no idea UMich was as unpredictable as you said. I just assumed since they accept almost 50% that I could call it a safety, but Im glad you pointed that out.

I think your list is good. The reach/match/safety stuff is kinda off, but if you are just looking at the list itself, it's good. The only bad thing about it is that you do have a lot of reaches, so you may want to add 1 or 2 more schools that are more matches.
