I'm a transfer student about to begin my first semester at Virginia. I'm going to try to get a research position at UVA medical center, so that might take up 8-14 hours a week. I want to get A's (obviously), but I'm a bit worried that if I take one of these research positions, my grades may fall.

Classes you are Taking:
CHEM141L-1 300C4 CLAS Introductory Chemistry Lab
PHIL100-1 302PD CLAS Introduction To Philosophy
PSYC305-1 300PR CLAS Rsch Methods Data Analysis
SPAN201-18 304UY CLAS Intermediate Spanish
CHEM141-2 301XW CLAS INTRODUCTORY COLLEGE CHEMISTRY
PHIL100-20 301NA CLAS INTRO TO PHILOSOPHY DISC
PSYC305-14 3009E CLAS RSCH METHODS DATA ANLY LAB

Also, has anyone here done research during the semester at the medical center? If you have, how flexible are the hours? I would probably rather have it as an unpaid internship because I'd rather have flexible/less hours during the week than inflexible/long hours.

Any advice? How difficult is my schedule?
