how does my senior year schedule look?

Here is my schedule for next year. If you can give some advice that would be great. Also, if you can give me ur opinion on adding AP Econ (both semesters) that would be awesome!!
AP Chem
AP Psych
AP Calc BC
AP human geo
AP stats
AP English Lit
AP econ??

AP Psych and Human Geo - some of the easiest APs out there.
AP Calc BC - easy if you have a solid math base
AP Stats and Econ - not terribly difficult, but can be challenging w/o prior experience
AP Chem and English Lit - arguably 2 of the hardest APs

If I had to rate your schedule based on difficulty from a 1 to a 10, with 10 being the most difficult, I would probably give it an 8.5.

hmm… for Calc BC I have taken Pre-calc 2 and was put into BC for next year (so I havent taken AB)
For AP Stats and Econ, I really dont have much “background”…
And do you know much about Lit? I did excellent in Lang and got a 5 on the test, so will Lit be a huge difference?
Thanks

The rule of thumb is just to not take a senior year course load that can be seen as ‘slackable’, colleges want to see that you’re still willing/able to do work. Honestly, I don’t see the need to add AP Macro or anything, as long as you have an equal/greater amount of AP courses compared to your junior year.

@Honorlions- thanks for the input.
Anyone else?

perhaps switch econ and human geo if possible. i self studied both, and human geo is an utter joke. econ is a lot more interesting and useful

@krammm- that was what I was thinking. Human Geo doesnt even give credit at the schools I was looking at… The only thing is that the teacher was my old AP Bio teacher and I wanted to have him (so that it would solidify my teacher recommendations). And I already told him I would be in his class next year…

well i think you could still ask for him a rec since you already had him once. if you tell him that you have more passion/interest in econ, i think he’;ll understand. i self studied econ, but i heard its a great class to take in school so you should ask some other people who already took the class how they felt about it

You forgot AP Lunch. :)

Too easy you need harder classes bro.

The English Lit test isn’t all that hard. It’s very similar to the AP English test besides having to know poetry and a few novels in-depth for the 3rd essay. Whether or not the class is hard will depend on your teacher.

yeah, I guess so. Thanks Kramm
@peachaso- thanks for the info man!
@admires- I take it that u r joking? Or r u serious (are you talking about the easier classes such as human geo, psych, and stats?)?

Yeah I am joking lol. But as a senior, you don’t need to work so hard. Just have a balance of hard and easy classes.

admires- haha, ok. I know I should take a balance and all, but I feel like I have really slacked off these past two years… I have only taken 4 APs (though I got 5s on 3 of them) and I feel like I could have handled a lot more… So that is why I am going to finally push my self to see how much I can actually do :)
