<p>I'm looking at schools like NYU, Trinity, McGill, Holy Cross, Fordham. I have a 4.0 Unweighted gpa so far in my junior year and about a 4.5 weighted. Please help!!</p>

<p>What luck that they changed the credit requirements! Not having to take science or another year of Spanish frees up my time considerably. I’ll be doing stuff I enjoy next year. I’m looking at Northeastern as a reach but to be honest where I go for undergrad really doesn’t matter since I plan to continue my education to the doctorate level - plenty of time for transfers and such. Hell, I could go to Umass Amherst (Average state school that’s been gaining a better reputation over the years) and still finish my education at some top school. It’s not common, but I know people that have done that.</p>

<p>one question–does northeastern count statistics as real math class? I was told the other I couldn’t take statistics at my school next year since it isn’t a “real” math, and that colleges wouldn’t count it as a math credit</p>
<p>That much I can’t answer, but I can’t see why they wouldn’t count it. My public school counts it as a full math credit, meeting Massachusetts core curriculum standards. As for private and catholic schools, that might be different. You should talk to your guidance counselor about that if you really want to know.</p>

<p>Good luck man, consider this: Just 10-20 years ago you would’ve been considered HYPS material. Times have certainly changed, unfortunately.</p>
<p>Still, you’re on the high end of academics, so you have nothing to worry about, man. I can’t say the same. I consider myself a B+ student at best, but I take it in stride.</p>
