I, a transfer student, applied approximately a week ago to Weinberg. Other schools I've applied to gave me login information to access a portal in which I could view my application status. Northwestern, however, has not. Is the only contact between an applicant and Northwestern the adcom's decision a month or two after the applicant submits his or her application?

Thanks!

In our experience, the pre-admission interaction was all done via e-mail. As I recall, D did get a note that her application had been received and was complete but it took several weeks to get that.

Is there an application deadline for Transfer students, or can you apply at any time?

I would guess Admissions is totally swamped right now, as I think they had a large increase in the number of applications this year and the RD decisions are due in the next couple weeks.

Best of luck!

Ah, I didn’t get a note confirming they’ve received my application. Now I’m slightly troubled.

Taken directly from their website:

“Transfer applicants may apply and upon acceptance, enroll varying times throughout the academic year. Decisions are made on a rolling basis and most applicants apply for and enroll in the fall quarter.”

But yeah, for the fall quarter the deadline is May 1st.

I’d try giving them a call. They may be busy, but they were very helpful the couple times we’ve had to phone them.
