How does one enroll as Honors?

Hi,

I applied to and was accepted into the Elliott School at GW as a transfer applicant. I'm considering enrolling as a junior in the fall of 2007. What is the honors program exactly? Should I have applied to it specifically? Is it an internal process? I found a "Special Honors" form that states eligibility requirements are at least 90 credit hours (senior status) and a cum. gpa of 3.4 or higher.

So, what is the honors program and how do I get into it?

PS - I was looking around for the "Honors" portion of the application and it only says for Freshmen. Is there anything for Transfers? Can I apply for it once I make a declaration of intent?

Any comments would be greatly appreciated - thank you!

Thanks Barbara! I appreciate your link. I found the info and I'm going to post it here just in case anyone looks up the same topic.

"Any transfer student with at least four (4) undergraduate semesters remaining towards graduation may apply to the Honors Program. Students can apply using the UHP application provided through The George Washington University Admissions Office. Depending on the exact number of remaining semesters, transfer students may apply/re-apply to the Honors Program once they matriculate to GWU."
