How does one not care what other people think? I constantly do and i'm trying to stop. I really don't know how people do it. Sometimes, it even hinders me from doing things.

Say “**** the world” and do your own thing.

Examples, examples please. You should care about what people think in some circumstances. Mostly it’s about confidence and liking what you have/are/do.

I’d love to help you but I don’t care.

Bam, just like that.

As George Carlin once said, (and I paraphrase) most people who say that they don’t care what others think of them want people to know that they don’t care.

If we didn’t care about what others perceive of us, we would have almost no sense of self control and reservedness. You can only go so far as to not caring what others think of you. You can never truly block it out.

“Be Who You Are and Say What You Feel Because Those Who Mind Don’t Matter and Those Who Matter Don’t Mind.”

So who gives a **** if that fat-ass chick thinks you’re ugly?

Its easier to not care.

Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

OMG, I POSTED THIS WITHOUT REALIZING THAT ^^ SAID THE SAME THING

IM KEEPING IT ANYWAYS

Tell yourself you DGAF or imagine them thinking positively of you or change your behavior so you think they think positively of you.

^^ Yeah, great Dr. Seuss quote =)

I find that telling yourself “I don’t care about them” eventually gets you there, even if it’s hollow at first, it at least it makes you feel a bit more confident and less self-conscious. Helped my anxiety, anyways.
