At Cornell, if you are totally unhappy with your current college choice after MUCH careful deliberation, is it relatively easy to transfer from one college to the next? Say from Engineering to CAS, or ILR to Engineering, etc. Are the various colleges receptive to dedicated students' requests for a transfer? How manageable is the process? Furthermore, how many courses can you sample per semester from other colleges? How should you plan your first year coursework to best accomodate this early flexibility? Any suggestions/thoughts are welcome. My impression is that the process is quite bureaucratic...does this process depend on which college you are transferring from/to?

I'm interested in knowing more about this too.
