How does preferred admission at Ross work?

I'm extremely confused right now... I'm planning to attend UMich soon. How do I apply preferred admission at Ross?

Is it like this?

Say I'm a senior and got accepted to UMich LSA. I major in Economics and during my freshmen year at UMich, I apply preferred admission to Ross before the November deadline. I get accepted and go to Ross for sophomore/junior/senior years.

Also, is there a Ross program for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors?

There is no ross program for HS sophomores, etc

You apply to preferred admission during your senior year of high school. If you don’t get in, then you apply to Ross during your first year from LS&A.

If you do get in, then you take the prereqs and get at least a 3.3, and then you’re in Ross starting sophomore year.

Oh OK. But what if I don’t apply to Ross during my senior year of high school? Can I still apply during my first year of LSA?

Yes. Preferred Admission is the process in which a high school senior applies simultaneously to Ross and another University of Michigan program. The majority of Ross students are admitted by regular admission, which is when a freshman (mostly from UM-Ann Arbor) applies for the program.
