I know that Princeton doesn't consider freshman year in admissions, but how does this impact their view on an applicants class rank?

for example:

I received a B freshman year, but A's throughout the rest of high school. This has placed me within the very bottom of the top 10% of my class. What will Princeton think?

Note: I'm not freaking out about this by any means, I'm really just curious.

Squaregirl, no they don't consider freshman year.

Eating food, it is my understanding that Princeton seriously considers rank, but your GPA and course load are far more important. They consider rank because they wish to see how you compared to your peers, how competitive you are. They will understand your rank as long as your courses and GPA are competitve enough. That's not to mention that they will try to ignore that B when considering your rank (and they'll probably assume that you should have ranked higher). Does that help?

ive always heard that places take gpa more seriously than class rank, but doesn't rank seem more important because gpa's can vary from school to school based on difficulty

so if princeton doesent look at freshman grades does that mean that they recalculate your GPA based solely on your sophmore, junior, and first semester senior year grades?
