Any opinions? I think it was more or less the same to 2008 in terms of difficulty.

slightly harder than 2008 test, much harder than 2009 practice booklet

the practice book was a joke, I got an 800 for CR in it, but I think I missed 4 vocab questions today

I think I’m the only one in my grade who thought it was harder than 2008 one. I agree, the Practice Booklet was a big joke…

The agree that the practice book was cake. Maybe I’m a different person, but I took most of the time alloted for the Writing Skills Section.

I hated the writing, but in all honesty I did not think it was that hard. Like I know I still got some questions wrong but I didnt think it was extremely hard at alll. The booklet was hmmm interesting to say the least.

Beware: taking tests under real pressured conditions can add to their difficulty…

^I am talkion about the actual test lol. I took it today also

My D just took the PSAT and said that it was much harder than the practice test.

MUCH harder than the 2008 and 2007 one.

i thought the practice book actually WAS the 2008 test? idk… i just remember doing the exact same questions and that exact same word “draconian” appearing in the test.
anyway the practice test was ridiculously easy compared to today’s test.

cut off for my state is like 221 or w/e ugh
i obviously wasn’t going to get that score and i wasn’t aiming to get higher than 221 anyway. so my doing bad on the test today isn’t that huge of a deal. i dont really care about my score… but still :/

I thought the latter CR section today was the hardest I’ve taken.

Silverturtle:
What dd you get for the one that was b/t disdain and resentment?
And also for the one where like it asked about the other points that could be possible so thaat the distance was from 3 units of X and 5 units of Y?

The math and writing were certainly easier than the 2008 testing. The CR section was harder, but I think I’ve improved since last year.

fresh101, I made a post about some questions in the large thread.

I put “resentment,” but I wasn’t sure.

For that math question I said “one” because I visualized a diamond. I might be wrong, however.

really? You’re prolly right tho…damn myselffff. I got like -3 on math already, according to ppl’s responses.

When i ordered the PSAT booklets from CB, i got 4 800’s on the math out the 6 booklets i had and the other two were like 760 and 720. But this test was hardest on the math of a PSAT test i’ve ever taken.

It definitely seemed harder.

what was the math one with xyz = negative integer?

I put disdain…

I put resentment but idk - there seems to be no consensus

Regarding the “resentment” vs. “disdain” question, I put resentment because disdain implies, at least to me, that they other boys thought themselves better than Hari. I don’t think that was the case; I think they were all on equal footing and they resented him for coming into their territory to take a share of their work.

back on topic…I didn’t really think CR was hard. Math was okay. Writing though…definitely harder than the Saturday SAT one. This time, I’m pretty sure I got 3-4 wrong.
