How does rescinding work?

Okay, so it’s my senior year and I got accepted to 5 schools, but I also got hit with some harsh senioritis. I have two AP classes. I had good grades (A/B) in AP Calc AB and bad grades in AP English (D/F) my first semester. My grades for this third term have flipped somewhat with a high D in Calc and a high B in English.

I’m hoping to balance these out into atleast Cs by the end of the school year, but if worse comes to worse and say Lehigh rescinds me (what would it take for that to happen btw?) how do I enroll into another school? The May 1 deadline would have passed and I would have been left out to dry by the school I enrolled to. Would I just be screwed or would I be able to enroll into another college I was accepted to? Is this situation even a possibility if I were to finish with two Cs in these classes?

CC at least. What would your GPA be for senior year?

I’d check their website to see if they have specific guidelines for what warrants rescinding your acceptance. Generally universities like students to maintain a B average their senior year, usually with no Ds or Fs. Again though, I’d check with them specifically.

D and F can very likely get you rescinded. If you have that already in a semester end and they haven’t seen it I think you need to inform them before accepting the offer as they may withdraw it without extenuating circumstances. If you can pull out C’s you may be okay. D or F can mean you go to CC, or you wait a year and apply to colleges that are easy to get in.
