<p>So I have heard that it is harder to get in EA than RD because of a more self-selective EA applicant pool...is this true?
I really hope not, as I just submitted my EA app today</p>
<p>The EA applicant pool is significantly stronger than the RD pool, so you’ll be going against some tough competition, but judging from your stats in that other topic, you’re in good shape and you have a great chance of getting in.</p>
<p>The admit rate for EA is higher than RD, but I think that’s mainly due to the legacies, recruited athletes, and the aforementioned overall stronger applicant pool.</p>

<p>We were told on a Stanford tour that chances are essentially the same and that the reason the acceptance rate is higher SCEA is because of a stronger early applicant pool .</p>
