In my freshmen year I was foolish and took World history and Biology (SAT2) and scored 560 and 740 respectively.

can I get rid of World history? can I get rid of it w/o getting rid of Bio (I'm retaking bio anyways so no hard feelings if I have to get rid of it)?

If I can't get rid of my WH score, I'm going to........ b angry

The way I understand it, there is a period of time after you take the tests that if you send one, you have to send all.

After that period of time passes, you are able to select (“Score Choice”) which scores get sent.

I think that period of time is something like 3 months. So score choice is an option for your World History and Biology already.

For SAT I score, you don’t get to pick CR from one, Writing from another, and Math from another. You have to pick the full set. But you could pick the set from 2007 and 2009 without sending the set from 2008.

Do this… go on collegeboard and go to the “send scores” link and try to send some scores. It should let you pick (a) which set(s) of SAT I scores you want to send and (b) pick which specific SAT Subject Test(s) you want to send.

If a school is non-score choice then the WH score does have to be sent. These comments that tell you that you don’t have to send the WH are giving dangerous instructions. You are going to want to look up the polices for each of the schools to which you plan to apply. BTW, your Bio score is great. There is no need to re-take it and also, if you do re-take it and apply to a non-score choice school, they will see both scores and see that you chose to re-take Bio even with a 740 score. That can be interpreted as neurotic by the college.

First time I took SAT, I got satisfactory math and writing score, but not reading. So I took the SAT again, since I knew the only section I would need is reading, I only tried hard in reading and blew off math and writing. Do colleges care if I do that (if they use score choice )?
