How does SEAS compare to top engineering programs?

I'm curious as to how SEAS compares to other top engineering programs. I know that, ranking-wise, a program like computer science at Penn is obviously ranked below CS at MIT, CM, or Stanford. However, isn't the undergraduate engineering experience at Penn more intimate? Aren't there more opportunities to actually know your professors and get involved in research as an undergraduate?

Curious to hear your thoughts as I decide where to apply...

Perhaps it is a little more intimate, but I would be hard pressed to think that it has more research opportunities than MIT or Stanford…Penn SEAS has a relatively high acceptance rate, for a reason.

I definitely see what you’re saying, powerbomb. Stanford does indeed have more resources and research opportunities in engineering. But, aren’t these opportunities generally limited to masters and pdh candidates? Would Penn offer a better undergrad experience where students have more ample opportunity to get involved?
