How does submitting application/scores work?

I am getting close to finishing my ED application and am slightly confused over the process of submitting my application. Do I first have to open some kind of online account with the college?? Or do I just submit the Common app, and supplement and pay the fees?? And also do I just mail my SAT Score reports to the college, I don't have to do anything special right, just select their code and send.

I just need some clarification over the actual process of submitting the application.

If you are using the common app, then you just submit the common app, supplement, and fee and then once the school receives those, you will probably get an email or something telling you that it has been received and maybe giving you a link/login for an online account with that college. And yes, to submit score reports you just select the college and submit it

If LOR are required by teachers, don’t forget to sent those. Your GC will tell you the process for that and sending transcript. GC also has to send report. You might want to read the Instructions to the CA and the school’s Instructions and requirements.

Aren’t the LOR’s online, I sent my teachers an invitation to their email, so I think for that I just attach their letters online to the Common app/supplement and send it. I think the GC rec works this way too?

And as for the transcript, my school mails out paper transcripts, do colleges not like that, or how does that work.

Every school is different. Our school does not use the electronic LOR. Everything is paper. Ask your GC for procedures.

My daughters made use of the 4 free score options from the SAT/ACT, so those scores have already been sent way before the application. Dumb question, but do colleges automatically match up the scores with the candidate’s application once it’s received?

Yes, they should be
