Hello:

Originally Swarthmore said they'd be sending a password for applicants to review their status but my S never got one and when he wrote the admissions officer he was told that his application was complete and not to worry about it. First question: did anyone get a password for the admissions site? Second Question: Well, a bit dependent on the first - if they don't send out passwords for a secure admission site, are all the decision letters sent by snail-mail? e-mail? passenger pigeon?
TIA

RE: second question, assuming nothing has changed from last year:

a) Decisions are not posted on the website.

b) Students with primary addresses in the United States receive a letter in the mail, usually mailed three days or so before the announcment date.

c) Students with primary addresses overseas get e-mail notification on the stated announcement date.

I would have thought they’d be sent by owl. ;)

It sounds like the letters are starting to trickle out. The acceptance letter my son received last year was a thin, half sheet size letter. Good luck to you all, waiting is tough!
