I took two classes at UC Berkeley last summer and got B+'s in both of them. Would the UCs treat these the same way they do for junior college classes (as in equating them to an AP class)? I found the Berkeley classes to be incredibly more difficult than the JC classes I have taken nearby. It doesn’t seem very logical to me if they were considered equal.

I don't think they CAN equate it as anything more than a CC class when they factor in GPA, but they'll likely take note that you took this class at a UC. How much that'll help you might differ from schools, but with schools like LA and Berkeley supposedly considering an uncapped UC GPA, it might influence an adcom's ultimate decision.

Yeah thats what I was hoping for. It would be kind of weird to have double weight anyway. And it'd be a sort of ridiculous boost. I was just thinking about it, and I was starting to sort of regret not taking the equivalent classes at the JC since I'd probably get an A there.
