Hey,

Well I do know that many colleges state that FA may be a factor in the admission process (for internationals). From Stanford's website -

If you are not a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident, your request for financial aid will be a factor in our admission evaluation.

I was wondering whether the amount (or %) of FA requested for, affects your admission decision?

Like for instance 2 students have similar stats (just for instance) and one requires more/less financial aid than the other, does it work against/for the student? Or do they just segregate the applications into the ones who requested FA and the ones who haven't, and then select the best of each pool?

Thanks!
