how does the billing/paying tuition thing work?

do they send a bill to my parents at home and we send a check or transfer money to them? Or they'll give me a bill when i'm there at Grinnell?

i'm completely clueless about US college system, man.

another thing, is that true that when you call from cellphone to cellphone, the receiver have to pay fee too?
if it's true, US cellphone service kinda suucks

i think they send you a bill toward the end of june or early july. and yeah, depending on what plan you have, the reciever has to pay unless you have one of those friends talk free or mobile to mobile plans plan things. i dont have one of those, so i have to pay when people call me, and yeah it really blows.

They will send you a bill. Different schools have different billing scedules.
At Penn State the fall bill arrives in late July early August, at the student's home address.
The total costs, minus scholarships and financial aid are listed.
There are several payment options.
You can pay the full amount before school starts or you can choose a payment plan that spreads the bill into several payments through the semester. Then another bill arrives just before spring semester with the same options.
As of this fall, Penn State is no longer sending paper bills. All billing will be done online, sent to the students email address. Student's can pay by credit card for a fee or send a check in to the bursar.

penn state?

Pennsylvania State University. This is the public university in the state of Pennsylvania.
I just used my son's college as an example because it is probably similar to Grinnell.

oh okay, I thought that maybe you had posted in the wrong one. My mistake; I apologize.

No problem :)

Thanks both of you
