What does it mean, and which universities use it?

My SAT scores are:
1st time: 700 Math, 770 Critical Reading, 730 Writing
2nd time: 750 Math, 710 Critical Reading, 800 Writing

it means you mix and match your best section scores from as many different sittings as you want

so you would be

750 M
770 cr
800 w

(good job btw)

so out of these universities, which ones use ur method of composite SAT:
Cornell, Stanford, UPenn, Rice, UT Austin (sorry rapport, i had to post this...).

well, as an edit to the above: composite score simply means your total score out of 2400 (as opposed to your section score). i think the OP was asking about mixing different section scores from different sittings in order to get the best composite possible.

i think most universities will let you mix and match (or will do it for you), but just check the individual admissions policies pages you lazy bum.

Haha, thanks you guys.
