Does anyone have information on how the selection process for being interviewed works and how interviews with alumni are arranged? Any hard stats on acceptance rates for those interviewed vs. those not interviewed? What is the interview time period for ED applicants? Thanks.

I can’t give you any hard stats but can promise that it is not going to have a negative impact on your application if you don’t receive an interview. They try to arrange an alumni interview for everyone but it depends on alumni availability.

They contact ED applicants for interviews from October through mid-November and RD applicants from December through mid-February.

They offer everyone an interview when alum are available in their area. Alumni interviews at colleges in general are more for the benefit of the student–to get info and feel a connection to the college. Unless there’s a huge red flag, colleges don’t use them for much.
