How does the USC appeal process work?

Recently, I just got my rejection letter from USC (apply to be as a sophomore).
However, I heard that we can actually appeal? Even though the chances is still low...
Does anyone know what is the USC appeal process? (I search about this and know that it has to contain new info, not coming from our original apps, but still not sure what to do..)
Do we just write a letter to USC?
But, in what way? Like formal business writing style or? Also, is there a due date? (sorry if this is a stupid question)
Anyways, does anyone know?
Any suggestions or comments will be helpful! Thanks so much!

I couldn’t come up with much either on their website or googling, only this long CC thread from this year:

I would give the Admissions office a call. But be prepared, unless you have an update to your application, it may be pretty tough, especially if USC has a transfer WL.

Thanks for your advice I’ll try to give them a call. But, what do you mean by USC has a transfer WL?

If USC employs a wait list for transfers, and you have been denied, it is unlikely that an appeal with get you an acceptance because in their admission evaluation you are last behind: accepted > WL > denied. Unless their transfer yield is so low that they went through the entire WL, they would likely not reach out to students appealing a denial.
