This is how I was planning to list my ECs on the Common Application. Does everything look okay? Any suggestions for alterations of formatting or wording? The Absentee Book Club is what I explain in my Activities Essay. Any Xs are just things that I'm omitting here in order to prevent identification *Did not include Hrs/Wk here

Academic Decathlon (9-12)
MVP; Captain; Ranked Third in Nation in Division X

Mentoring Group (9-12)
Founder & President

Candystriping (10-12)
Leader of X

Student Council (9-12)
President

Concert Band (9-12)
First Flute (I'm not THE first flute...but I'm in A first flute...how do I notate this?)

Quiz Team (10-12)
Co-Captain

Absentee Book Club (9-12)
Founder & President

NHS (11-12)
*Some Sort of Office...Not Certain Yet. Chairperson at the very least.

Track & Field (9,10,12)
Varsity; Senior Member; 3200m (should I tell them my race...? I do other things occasionally, but always this)

I don't want it to look laundry-list-like...I've already omitted the activities in which I had no leadership positions... Any suggestions?

Looks quite impressive from my standpoint, having that many leadership positions in so many different clubs is something to be proud of for sure.

Thanks EricJPrice…should I expand upon my explanations at all? And should I put “Senior Class Officer” in the Awards section? I have a feeling it’d get lost here so I’d rather put it in Awards, but I can see how that wouldn’t fit (right now all I have under awards is National AP Scholar, 40 Academic Decathlon Medals including medals in each of the 10 subjects, 30 Academic Sports League Medals including 3 awards indicating my achievement of the highest cumulative score at the competition, Principle’s Honors Award, and HOBY Ambassador).

P.S. Okay, this isn’t a chance me…although I know it REALLY looks like one and I’m sorry about that. I had made a Chance Me about a year ago and got a lot of feedback about it looking like a “laundry list,” which concerned me, so I just wanted to make sure I was presenting everything I’ve done over the past 4 years so that it wouldn’t look that way.

Oh, and one more thing…for awards I was planning on writing out what I had written above regarding my Academic Sports League and Academic Decathlon Medals instead of listing the individual medals. Should I do that or should I attach a separate form with all of my medals listed out?
