How does this schedule seem?

Wednesday:

Thursday:

Friday:
10:15-12:05 E 101
1:30-2:20 MA 141

(I CAN place into ChemII and CalcII, but I think I want an "easy" semester to get used to college life. I'm just hoping they aren't too much of weed-out classes...

Should I change anything? It's 17 hours total.

You do realize that course numbering is completely arbitrary and specific to each university, right? No one can help you if you don’t tell what all of that means.

Ok, sorry. ^_^

MA 141-Calc I that science and engineer majors take
PY 205- Physics I that science and engineer majors take
E 101- Intro to engineering
E 115- Intro to computing
HON 202- Honors English 202
CH 101- intro to chem…102=Lab section

It seems about normal for an engineering student. Physics is probably going to suck.

I would hate to have a schedule like that. I like to have my schedule be blocked off in the mornings so I can have my afternoons free. :)

The class I’m looking the most forward to is Physics.

I am an early riser. I’m not crazy about the big gaps in between my schedule on some days, but my honors privilege of early registration doesn’t kick in until next semester. ^_^

Most of the other freshman, it seems, are taking Calc II or III and no physics their first semester. I’m leery about doing Calc II…so I decided to play it safe. Is this considered slacking off??

I think you are being smart. It is best to take a lighter load and get good grades than overload yourself with hard courses and fail/get bad grades. I had a friend who overloaded with two labs (prereqs for Engineering) and an Engineering course (18 credit hours total)…she received 3 “Es” (failing) and one C (in her Spanish course). She regrets it majorly.

Calc II is marginally worse than Calc I. Calc III is easier than either, imo.

dude… are you going to be able to handle that? Late pm classes truely suck, i had one that went from 7:15 pm to 10pm O.O

But… it looks like none of them are more then 2hours.

Though i’m not one to talk, my schedule for this fall is:

monday

inttermediant japanese 4:30ish - 7:00ish

tues:

english class 8am - 9:15am

intro to philosophy 4:30ish - 7ish

wed:

archeological teqnices (sp fail) 10:45 - 1:30

same japanese class as on monday

Thurs:

same english

intro to cultural anthropology 4:30ish - 7:00ish

Friday:

nothing :3

total = 17 credits

anywho, its not like you can’t drop a class if it gets to be to much, just know where all the classes are before hand (get there a few minutes early) so you aren’t running around trying to find it.

Thanks for the responses.

I really have little to no choice about taking those late evening classes. They’re definitely not going to be my favorite, but it’s a time that I probably would have been doing homework. I figured that I’ll give it a try this semester at least. Then next semester I’ll schedule my classes all in the morning. :)

Ice dragon, dang, that looks like a nice schedule! I envy those who have no Friday classes!

lol I know what school the OP is going to. =)

That’s the standard load for engineering, it may be tough, depending on the person, but there’s not much you can do about it.

Engineering’s tough, but that’s why God invented alcohol.
