Hi everybody. I just got rejected by all my ivies for the Class of 2015. I have decided to attend a city college for a year, and transfer out after a year (quite unbelievable, LOL, straight A student, good rec & ECs..etc). Anyways, I am wondering what do they, top 20 universities/colleges, care about the most on transfer kids? Do they still care about SATi+ii?

College GPA then College recommendations and EC’s

College GPA, course load, test scores, HS GPA, recs, ECs

If you have less than 30 college credits when you apply to transfer, you may need to send high school grades and SAT scores. Note that this is credits when you apply, not the number of credits you’ll have when you finish your freshman year.

Most schools have information on their websites for transfer students. Your best bet is to go to the sites of the specific schools you are considering, and find out their requirements.

Depends on how many college credits you have.

If you are transferring as a potential Junior, HS grades are basically irrelevant at most schools.

On the flip side, as a freshman applying for sophomore status, HS grades will play significant factor in your transfer hopes. As will test scores.

EC’s are also less significant IMO as are essays. No matter how good your essay is, you can’t hide your grades or course load.

Every school is different though/
