I heard some poster talk about this and I think I might be qualified because my parents worked at UMD for some time. Although I’m not sure how it works so I’d like someone who knows in depth about it to explain.
Check with human resources office at UMD.
Do they still work there? If not, you won’t qualify for anything.
I just saw this post. The OP may have already found his/her answer, but I wanted to clarify that @InigoMontoya is not correct. My husband retired from one of the Maryland System universities, and my daughter is using the tuition remission he earned while working there. Some regulations have changed over time, and it depends on when OP’s parents started working at UMD, but it may be available to them.
