How does UF compute their GPA for high schoolers?

My brother just completed his Junior Year in the IB program at a public high school in Florida.

I found this website:
Ask UF - How will UF compute my high school GPA?

My brother has taken some IB computer courses. Are those not counted in his GPA computation? (The website only mentions Social Sciences/Natural Sciences/English/Math/Foreign Language)

I tried calling UF a few times, but kept running into people's answering machines - due it being summer, I believe.

How is the weighting done? .5 point for all AP/IB/Honors/etc. courses?

+1 for ap/dual/ib
+.5 for honors

as long as i’ve been reading stuff about this, its still ambiguous as to whether or not they include non-corec AP/IB credits. that being said, computer courses could count as science.

I wondered about that - when I was in high school I took an AP Art course - it was more difficult than AP Calc and AP Physics so I was wondering if they counted it?

I believe that all AP courses count because they are considered “college level” classes. I know D’s AP art history counted; we checked.

zebes

i’m under the same impression
