Hello all,

It seems that talking about GPA in college is a taboo subject (no one on campus is very helpful about this), so I was wondering if any current students can divulge some info on undergrad GPA.

Does UMich differentiate between an A and an A-? I can't seem to find anything about it on the Ann Arbor site, but Dearborn and Flint say that A+/A = 4.0, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, etc. Can anyone confirm this?

I already know that they weigh your grades based on credit hours, but I didn't know that they differentiated between the (+)s and (-)s. This is gonna make it harder to do "well" in college, I guess.

On the other hand, I got my hands on the Engineering Dean's List (http://www.engin.umich.edu/students/deanslist/W09coedeanslist.pdf), and it seems incredibly long. About what percentage of engineers at Michigan are on this list?

Thanks!
