I am trying to decide between Berkeley and UMich engineering schools. I am a California resident, so going to Berkeley will save me $80000+. But I heard that UMich Co-op program can provide me with some income and shorten my UG somehow. Is that true? Can co-op give me credits to substitute for any of the required credit? Can I finish my BSE in 3-4 years. Does that mean I have to take summer classes. If so, Do I have to pay extra tuitions?
Also how easy is it to get into the 5-year BSE-MSE program. Is it possible to do that and the co-op together?
Even if I can do all these, is it worthwhile to give up the $80000+ saving from going to Berkeley?
Alexandre, somebody please help? I need to make a decision soon!
