How does University of Richmond send admission decisions????

So I saw that UR posted on their twitter that they sent all the letters for the ED applicants but do they only notify of your acceptance or rejection by mail or do they post it on their portal as well??? Does anyone know? Thanks

Snail mail only! Only exception (I believe) is that international applicants are emailed since mail would take longer to get to them  Nothing is posted on your portal.

We got ours in ED2 & I researched the heck outta this very question: regular snail mail, not priority. 11x 14 white envelope with red circle & writing (something like “here is the answer you’ve been waiting for”) if you got in. Regular letter size envelope if you did not. Pictures of the larger envelopes are on their FB & twitter page for UR admissions. Good luck!

Thank you both!! Kept on hitting the refresh button waiting for something to come in!!

@ecv3 Hang in there, I know these last few days are hell! Stay as busy as you can & time will go by! Consider options, put the nervous energy into researching schools, etc, anything that helps you focus!

@cloudysmom @ecv3 do you know for a fact how it works for international students? In my country mail does not work properly, and I doubt I would receive any physical mail.

@cristinaG I believe I read somewhere that international applicants are notified via email because mail would take longer

@cristinaG I agree, I have read that international students are emailed, but I encourage you to email admissions asap so they get your email first thing monday and respond sooner!

@cristinaG Richmond just tweeted on their admissions Twitter that international applicants will be emailed next week with decisions!

Does anyone know if they send to mailing address or to the home address (when they are different)?

@Patti1000 If there are 2 addresses, the mailing address is routinely used for all business mailings as it if thought the home address is the physical place of residence but that for some reason, the resident does not want to receive mail there, or else he or she would not have provided a separate mailing address. You can call monday to ask but I cannot see this being any other scenario.

@rvalover7 could you send me the link of that tweet? I can’t find it :frowning: Thank you in advance!!
