How does UPenn calculate GPA?

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I'm from Michigan. UMich is obviously a viable choice for me, and I know a bit about their admissions process for HS students. </p>

<p>I know that they recalculate your GPA when you apply, only counting A's, B's, C's, etc. in core classes. </p>

<p>Example:
Transcript:
Math: A-
English: A
Science: B-
Choir: D</p>

<p>What UMich does:
Math: A
English: A
Science: B</p>

<p>Does anyone know if UPenn does any similar calculations? Or recalculates GPA in any way?</p>
