<p>Re: work study…you are not guaranteed a w-s job. You need to apply for and be hired for a job which is funded by work study funds. It is important to start looking early and to be flexible about the types of jobs you are willing to do. My DD had W-S for all four years. The first term, she worked in the call center doing phone calls for the fundraising campaign. It was NOT her top choice job but it was a job. She was subsequently hired for a very good job at her university that required an extensive application/interview process. She was lucky in that this job was funded with work study funds AND was also funded through the university, so if/when her work study monies were exhausted, she could continue to work.</p>
<p>This is the best type of WS job to get…one that is also able to continue using school funds if the WS funds are used up.</p>
