How Does Your Body Respond To Stress?

My eye--sometimes both--starts to twitch, and I become quite unkempt, though the latter might be more because I don't have any time to take care of myself. Sometimes I get acne breakouts too lol

I’ve never been stressed in my life. So I have no idea.

I lose my appetite.

When I lost a very, very close friend at the beginning of the year, I dropped 20 pounds in about 2 months.

I’ve never really been stressed out from school so I’ll be able to answer that question when it comes up (hopefully never).

I get really tired, lol.

I typically consume more junk food.

I eat and I get twitchy…

I usually get really sleepy or get stomach aches. If I’m really, really stressed, I have panic attacks.

My chest hurts. A lot.
It’s very irritating. Makes me think I’m going to have a heart attack or something…

I can’t think straight and don’t sleep well. Like now.

I become more tired
Can’t think straight
And become more lazy

In general:

The human body releases corticoids in response to stress. Corticoids mobilize the body’s glycogen reserves, as the only food the brain can use is glucose (sugar), and stimulate the release of other compounds that also aid in the fight-or-flight stress response. However, they are immune system suppressants, and if the response is triggered for too long, the part of the brain responsible for bringing it down can actually physically disintegrate. So it’s not a good idea to get hyper-stressed for too long – you get sick very easily and you quite literally forget how to not be stressed.

Same thing with the chest pain/acne (but the acne isn’t too bad).
My immune system suffers too. I probably gotten sick and/or had a fever 1-2 times a month ever since September.

Depends on what sort of stress.
Stress I like: I’m tired, even fatigued. Once, my legs stopped working.
Stress I dislike: Loss of appetite.

eat alot, break out in horrible rashes/hives every year right before exams. its horrible and disgusting.

and then i get so stressed out i start worrying about being stressed out, which ends up wasting time =S

Possibly acne(I only ever really get stressed until exam time, which is when it starts getting really muggy and super hot down here - so maybe it’s enviroment and not stress?), no sleep, I don’t really talk to anyone, and I forget to be hungry.

I never lose weight from that though, people around me have learned to keep shoving food at me when I stop running my mouth a mile a minute. Otherwise I go days without eating  woops.

My hair sheds. When I’ve been operating on little sleep or have a lot of deadlines approaching I’ll notice the occasional long strand of hair on my sweater or an inordinate amount coming out in the brush. It’s never noticeable to anyone but me, but its a solid indicator that I’m pushing myself.

I have a high level of stress tolerance.

I know I’ll get all the work done too, within a timely manner, so nothing usually happens.

Of course, I could be stressed all the time and not know it, so stress could be normal for me.

The more tired and stressed I am the more I practice music. At ungodly hours. My mom hates me. I get a serious loss of appetite and circles under my eyes and although I’m exhausted my creative thought process increases tenfold. I get pretty interesting when I’m stressed and tired. I start studying neurology too. Though I think that first and last bit are pretty much just me. :)

Head hurts, start sweating, heavy chest

^^^ Just wanted to add to my post:

I do have a high tolerance level for stress, but sometimes I get mini panic attacks. It comes usually at night, when I’m thinking about my future. I start panicking and thinking whether I’m doing enough or if I’m doing well enough with what I’m doing. My heart starts beating fast and I start breathing heavily, and sweating. My chest grows really heavy too, like if all the pressure suddenly fell on my chest. It usually lingers for a few days, but then leaves.
