How Does Your Body Respond To Stress?

By back cramps up and hurts. Then I strain my back muscles and it HURTS.

I also get cold sores and pimples in the morning. =(
My skin is usually clean. =)

My hair starts falling out easily.
My face breaks out every once in a while.
I consume less food. Lose lots of weight.
I get muscle spasms in my neck.
I start to pop my back all the time…it’s an unconcious thing.

I have a low stress tolerance.

Yep sympathetic nervous system activation. So basically everything that goes a long with that.

Stress doesn’t usually have a huge effect on
me.

But if I’m majorly stressed then depression, tiny bit headache, acne breakout…And the worst: sleep paralysis

I become irritable, tired and delusional. It’s not very often though, and I usually don’t allow myself to become too overworked or stressed.

@Goodbyehello: sleep paralysis is the scariest thing in the world. D:

I usually get a really bad headache and then throw up a couple times and I’m fine. I usually have a high tolerance level for stress, but for some reason, EVERYTHING happens all at once for me. If it’s only one stressful thing at a time (like prom at the moment), I get really ****y and I just want to yell at everyone.

^^ agree w/ goodbyehello and neekzg. i’ve only had sleep paralysis once, and i have never been so scared in my life before. it was horrible.

I stress eat a lot. I used to drink a lot of water too- around exam period last year, I drank an average of 4 liters of water a day. I don’t really do sports, so it was a lot.

This.

It’s awful.

=[ it awful, and its extremely painful to deal with. and gross X[

stress eating is fun in the beginning, but my house is out of all chips and chocolate, so i was binging on… soup and digestive cookies… oh dear.

^ I hate stress eating. I keep eating even when I’m full and it just makes me feel awful about myself, but I can’t concentrate if one hand isn’t stuffing food into my mouth. And the hives are the worst form of stress reaction ever because they’re just so obvious. Last year, when I still had to wear a uniform, it was incredibly obvious that I had giant red blotchy things all over my legs. It wasn’t pretty D:

Never hungry, break out, weird urge to clean everything, and sleepy.

I get butterflies in my stomach for some time, but once it goes away, I have to eat(yet im not fat!!) lmaoo =)

I am stressed out 98.99% of the time so however my body responds is normal.

I get intense sharp pain on the left side of my chest. I researched it an it is called Precordial Catch Syndrome. I remember going through this as a child but it intensified during junior and senior year [so I assume it has something to do with stress?].

My muscles start to bulge and my hair spikes up.

I wish my muscles bulged :/

When I get nervous when doing a piano performance, my foot trembles on the pedal.

Regular AP/SAT and school stress = eating. A LOT.

oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I yawn. A LOT. I don’t know why. Whenever I get nervous for clarinet performances or tennis matches, I just yawn like crazy. And my eyes tear up and everything. And sometimes, I yawn so much that the tears come out my nose -.-

^ my eye twitches as well (left one) if im running on barely any sleep + stressed out.

Sometimes i could breakout

-I lose my appetite to eat.

-feel like sleeping?

When I don’t sleep enough I hallucinate.
