How early do you need a promdate?

<p>sorry for making another one of these threads lol... just wondering because today at the gym during my last heavy set of deadlifts, music blasting, i got a call on my iphone and it made me lose focus lol. I answered afterwards and it was the girl who is planning the prom stuff for my group of friends. She said i need a date in the next few days haha.</p>

<p>When do you guys need a date? I think it's a bit redic because my prom isn't until freakin June. </p>

<p>Also, of my group of friends, basically everyone has a date so anyone have any ideas on how to get one? I am thinking of asking this girl from another school- 8.5/10 damn gorgeous so prob a bit outa my league but why not give it a shot? :)</p>

<p>Whenever you start feeling the pressure to get a date. That means people are pairing off. Get on it before your girl is taken.</p>

<p>Unless lots of schools where you are have prom in june and she might be “in demand” as it were, I think this is way too early to ask. She won’t remember by then. At most a month in advance and at least 2 weeks in advance.</p>

<p>OTOH, my friend was asked more than two months in advance, perhaps even 4 months. But she has to travel 5 hours to get to prom with our guy friend, so I think then, circumstances necessitated asking far in advance.</p>

<p>It depends when prom season goes into effect at your school. For some schools, no one cares until the week before it. For mine, posters are up and people are already handing in their money and forms. </p>

<p>At the same time, you don’t want someone to ask her out before you do. I have a friend who literally had his intended date stolen from him 3 hours before he was about to ask her out.</p>
