<p>Apply as early as possible: if gives you the best chance of being accepted.</p>
<p>Probably not much of a difference. But why not do it early? I did mine in mid November and got in December. It was easy to get it out of the way and find out early.</p>
<p>Apply early action (i think before Nov.1). that puts you in line for most of the merit scholarships they offer, i.e., the nutmeg scholarship is a full-boat ride. Also, make sure you put in the supplementals for the merit scholarships if you go for it.</p>
<p>Applying as early as possible matters a lot, especially when the applicant pool is competitive (which is happening more and more).</p>
<p>I wrote my essay 2 days before the deadline. Don’t do that.</p>
<p>Definitely before the EA deadline, and that should include recs, transcripts, and anything else required to complete the app.</p>
<p>My son’s app was complete in early November and he was accepted a month later.</p>
