These are the APs I am considering taking in the next two years (I am a rising junior):

AP World History
AP English Lang
AP Government and Politics
AP Chemistry
AP Statistics
AP Studio Art
AP English Lit
AP Psychology (self study or online, I want to either major or minor in Psychology)
AP Environmental Science (potential online study)
And MAYBE AP Japanese in senior year. I have a passion for studying Japanese but my school doesn't offer it, so I self study. I don't know if this could adequately prepare me for the AP exam but if anyone knows how to take this class online I'd definitely do it.

How are each of these APs in terms of difficulty? I was planning on taking AP Chemistry during my senior year but I hear it's extremely difficult. Chemistry is one of my best classes this year so I'd love to take it, but should I switch to AP Bio if it's easier? I would like a difficult senior year courseload, but I don't want all my energy going into one class.

AP World History - easiest of all the histories
AP English Lang - familiarize yourself with the format, otherwise really easy
AP Government and Politics - super easy
AP Chemistry - pretty tough ap, more conceptual, less memorization than ap bio
AP Statistics - super easy, very little actual math involved
AP Studio Art - no clue
AP English Lit - same as ap lang, familiarize yourself with poetry (just skim thru a prep book)
AP Psychology - pretty easy
AP Environmental Science - pretty easy, definitely doable self/online study
AP Japanese - i’m taking this one self-study this year, but I hear it’s very hard for non-Japanese students to get a 5

world history - pretty easy.
english lang - learn explanations for rhetorical strategies and familiarize with formats; not bad
gov&politics - don’t know
chemistry - one of the hardest aps; it’s a lot about practicing and learn to set up equations
stats - not too bad
studio arts - super time consuming. but mostly about concept/idea > quality
eng lit - don’t know
psychology - pretty easy
enviro - pretty easy and guessable answers
japanese - don’t know

about biology and chemistry. i’d personally say bio was much easier for me. most of it was logic though you do need a lot of memorization. chem is definitely more work though. but if you’re a chem person, then go for it. my friend loves chem and hated bio.

AP World History - not bad. A lot to cover.

AP English Lang - EASYY. especially if you’re good with essays. they don’t have to be too elaborate either. MC is “like a crack version of SAT I reading section” - silverturtle lol, I COMPLETELY agree

AP Government and Politics - wouldn’t know!

AP Chemistry - challengingchallengingchallenging. unless you’re one of those brilliant at math/science

AP Statistics - one of the easier ones.

AP Studio Art - challenging, even if you are talented, just due to the sheer amount of pieces you have to churn out. 24 freaking pieces, average of one piece per week… unless you already have a good amount of it drawn over the years!

AP English Lit - haven’t taken it; heard it was more challenging than English composition

AP Psychology (self study or online, I want to either major or minor in Psychology) - ridiculously easy. Stories of people getting a five with a single night of cramming.

AP Environmental Science (potential online study) - haven’t taken it, but myriad accounts of saying that it is easy as psychology. Don’t need to study for it if you’re going to take AP bio.

And MAYBE AP Japanese in senior year – I woulnd’t know, but i heard AP language exams are hard, unless you’re a native speaker.

hmm I’ve only taken 2 of these …
AP Govt is pretty easy. If you did well in civics, you should be fine
AP Chem is really challenging. I didn’t take chemistry before it. So, I had a lot of trouble. But, if you did well in normal chem, the first quarter should be really easy for you. 'cause it’s just mostly review stuff from normal chem.
I’ve heard bio is a lot easier, but it also depends on the teachers at your school. Good luck ^_^

AP World History: no clue
AP English Lang: fairly easy. If you are a good writer you can get a 5 easily as long as you don’t totally bomb the multiple choice.
AP Government and Politics: fairly easy. alot of it just theory or stuff you can make up on the spot.
AP Chemistry: I thought it was easy but I had an AMAZING teacher and I’d say I’m good at math. As far as bio, I think bio is hard just because of how much you have to know. And the fact that my teacher didn’t teach half of the chapters needed. I’d rather learn a few concepts than alot of straight facts.
AP Statistics: super easy, just need to memorize some sentence templates for the tests you run
AP Studio Art: no clue
AP English Lit: I think its harder than language but my teacher insists its not. but I think more in a language-mode if that makes sense.
AP Psychology: easy. alot of the words tell you what they mean and alot of it is life and common sense
AP Environmental Science: studying for it right now so I’m not quite sure. The FRQs and MC don’t look hard at all though. Alot of it is common sense and the parts that aren’t are easily studyable to get a 5.
AP Japanese: don’t know
