I've been accepted to my second choice major EE at UCLA. However, I am most interested in Comp Sci. In my case, would it be possible to change my major? If it is, what would I have to do to change my major from EE to Comp Sci?

Is computer sci in the school of engineering? I hear that it is easy to switch to majors in the school.

*same school

It is true that it’s easier to switch to majors in the same school. But since I didn’t get my first choice major Comp Sci during the admission process, can I still switch my major? If I can, what would I need to do?

It should be easy as long as you can get a B in 4 required courses (2 of which are math). Apply at the end of your second quarter:
[Change of Major–UCLA Engineering Office of Academic and Student Affairs](http://www.seasoasa.ucla.edu/undergraduates/change-of-majord)

By required courses, do you mean 4 of any of the required courses that apply to major I want to transfer into? For example I see that Comp Sci’s required prep courses are

Chemistry and Biochemistry 20A; Computer Science 1, 31, 32, 33, 35L, M51A (or Electrical Engineering M16); Electrical Engineering 1; Mathematics 31A, 31B, 32A, 32B, 33A, 33B, 61; Physics 1A, 1B, 4AL, 4BL.

So if I take any 4 of those and have a B or above I’ll be able to switch?

It’s not entirely clear but if you look at the bottom of the page you need get a b or better in at least 2 math classes (31a/b 32a/b 33a/b) and 2 science classes (chem 20a, physical 1a/b/c).

Then they will at least consider your petition to change majors
