How easy is it to convert Unsub Loans to Work Study?

How easy is it? I recently got my work study reduced because of a reported scholarship. I heard that converting unsub loans to work study can simply be done quickly via online. Is that true?

Many thanks in advance!

yes its on bearfacts

So it’s that easy then? No need to contact the finaid office to explain why I want to convert loans to work study at all then?

nope! its easier for them too… so they already get so flooded with phone calls/visits from students about other finaid stuff

Wow how awesome :D! Was a bit nervous when they decided to reduce work study before loans, but im fine with it now :D! Is there a limit to how much you can convert?

$4000 max for work study… you can only convert it up to 3 or 4 times a year

I thought you could only use subsidized loans for work study.

Ops, I meant subsidized, sorry :P!

@starmia, so I will receive 3.3k Work Study + 4k Sub Loans for this school year. That mean only $700 of the sub loan can be covert to work study right?

yea i think so… 4k is more than enough if you get a job $10/hr and work for 10 hrs a week

So $4k Work Study is workable right? I truly want to use up all the work study amount since that will probably mean I have to take out 0 loans :p!
