I read in the 100 reasons to go to Rice that Astros tickets can be $5 if you go to Rice. This can't always be the case, right? Especially against big teams like NY and the Sox? I ask because now that Houston's in the AL this incentive of Rice appeals to me more haha.

Still pretty easy. I just looked up tickets for games this week and their was still high availability. Of course, if they start playing well, tickets may be harder to purchase (at least at the cheapest price). But, that’s a big IF.

I too think that the Astros being in the AL is a significant advantage, as the Houston-Texas rivalry will pick up and this will give us opportunities to see big name teams such as the Sox and Yanks

Ugh. The Astros are supposed to be in the NL Central.

Very easy, in fact even when the Rockets (which I believe get better attendance) play teams like the Celtics the stadium ends up being 25% empty.
